reigate weekly memo

We have been joining with Pre-tods to practise our Christmas Songs. We have liked exploring the sand with different materials and tools, to look  at the textures. We have started to be creative making Christmas hand prints. This week we have welcomed new friends who have loved joining in with our music lesson and exploring the sensory room, looking at the different lights and textures.

Next week: We will continue practising our Christmas songs, and getting messy while completing painting activities ready for our Christmas displays. We will be cooking with pre-tods and looking at the different textures around the room.

- Can parents please bring back the red homework books, so we can continue working as a team to help develop your child’s learning.

Bunnies (Pre-Tods)

This week we have started to get into the Christmas spirit by practising out Christmas Carol songs, although we still need more practise!! We have been getting messy making our Christmas displays and starting with our advent calendar, using paints, different materials to make reindeers, stockings and our safe fireplace.  We have also cooked lemon muffins to look at the ingredients used.

Next week: We will be exploring winter and what we can do this time of year. We will make snowflakes, Santa’s with paint and glitter. We will finish of our winter board and practising our Christmas songs so it’s perfect.

- Can parents please bring back the red homework books, so we can continue working as a team to help develop your child’s learning.

- Can parents also find the time to complete the question of the month and drop it off with one of the carers in the room.

This week in Tigers we have been digging, filling and lifting buckets of sand to see which is heavier or lighter. We have also started on the Christmas decorations and practising for our Christmas Carol concert.

Next week: We will be comparing lengths of straws in sand to discover our measuring skills. Also continuing getting our voices ready for our Christmas songs.

Please could you fill in and bring back the activities for home and any home observations which will help with your child’s development.

This week in Pandas we have completed our toddler advent calendar. We have worked as a team to build towers, and structures with the blocks to develop our sharing skills and to take turns.

Next week: We will be using our listening skills to jump out of boxes at a given sound. We also will be continuing to use our artistic skills for Christmas decorations.

Please could you email in some pictures of what you have been doing over the weekend.

This week we have been getting very messy making candy cane pictures using our finger prints, making our very own snowman out of paper Mache. Continuing with our Christmas trees using our whole hands. Also to get it the Christmas spirit the children have started to write their letters to Santa.

Next week: We will be continuing with our Christmas crafts – making cotton bud snowflakes, and making our own grotto in the home corner. We will be making a lot of noise by copying musical patterns, to listen to the different beats.

There is no homework this week, so please practise the Christmas songs for our play.
