Wholemeal Bread Rolls

Ingredients

Ingredient Qty
Wholemeal Bread Flour 500 g
Yeast 7 g
Warm Water 300 ml
Vegetable Oil 3 tbsp
Sugar ½ tsp

Method

  • Pre-heat the oven to 190oC / gas mark 6
  • Mix all ingredients to a smooth dough and then kneed for 10 minutes
  • Place in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with lightly oiled cling film, leave to one side until it has doubled in size approx. 45 minutes
  • Remove the dough from the bowl and roll into a long sausage shape (more than one sausage if making a larger quantity)
  • Roll the dough into balls and place on a baking tray
  • Leave the bread to one side until doubled in size
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden
