Busy Bees in Chatham
Why choose Busy Bees in Chatham: -
Busy Bees in Chatham provides OUTSTANDING childcare as reported by OFSTED in 2008 and again in 2011
Chatham is one of the nurseries carefully selected to stand as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ Flagship site, a status devised by Busy Bees to represent the finest standards in childcare.
Over the past 12 months we have successfully implemented many of the Busy Bees initiatives, that are created by our Head office Childcare team. Each initiative has its own design to aid the children to succeed and enjoy many areas of learning and development.
At Chatham nursery we offer a wide range of extra curricular activities such as French lessons from a qualified teacher, Dinky Dancers, Movers and Shakers and Sporty Tots. We hold events at weekends and during evenings.
Our Saturday Dad’s Group is very popular, dad’s are able to attend the setting on a Saturday (once a month) and engage with their children in planned activities sent out on an itinerary. Feedback from the Dad’s is very pleasing.
We have a very dedicated and hard working staff team which consists of experienced and highly skilled individuals who are either NVQ level 3 trained or working towards it.
We take full advantage of the training courses provided through Busy Bees and access support provided through our individual teams at Head Office.

Sarah Young -
I have worked at Chatham nursery for 7 and a half years starting out as an apprentice. I gained my NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education and I also hold a National Diploma in childcare and education. I am currently working towards the Leadership and Capability programme to further my knowledge in management .
I worked hard to experience roles as a Senior Room Manager and Assistant Manager within the nursery and jumped at the chance to accept the role as Manager.
I am currently working towards the Leadership and Capability programme to further my knowledge in management .
I have a son Tristan Felix who also attends nursery with me Monday-Wednesday, he adores the nursery and I have seen him flourish within the setting.
During my time at Chatham I have gained huge amounts of experience and training in many areas such as Basic Food hygiene, Health and Safety and First Aid and I have a particular passion for implementing the Early Years Foundation stage with a good understanding of SENCO and Behaviour Management.
I have built an excellent partnership with parents and their families at the nursery by offering many extra curricular activities for them to wholeheartedly get involved in contributing to our setting.
I am extremely passionate about providing the best possible environment for children to develop and watch them grow.

I have worked at Chatham Nursery for 8 years. I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education and NVQ Level 3 in Management. Also, I am currently working towards an NVQ Level 2 in Business, to allow me to gain further knowledge of the administration and financial side of my job.
I have worked my way up from a Nursery Nurse to a Senior Room Manager and was delighted recently to accept the role of Acting Assistant Manager, covering maternity leave from April. Most recently I have accepted the role as Acting Manager on a Friday
I have a daughter Chloe who attended the nursery when she was little and loved every minute of it. It has made her the sociable and confident little girl she is today.
