Why choose Busy Bees at Corby: -
Our Corby nursery is set within an impressive purpose built building designed for use as a children's day care facility, it is situated close to the town and 5 minutes away from the new Corby train station.
Here at Corby, we currently have 29 staff, most of which are either qualified or working towards their NVQ in childcare. All staff also attend further training which is required to extend their knowledge and keep refreshed on policies and procedures.
The nursery has 4 childcare rooms, namely; a baby unit (with a dedicated milk kitchen, sleeping and change area), a toddler room for our 1-2 year olds (with its own toilets), Tweenies room for our 2-3 years olds (with its own toilets) and a pre-school for our 3-5 years olds (with its own toilets). Each room is fully equipped with a wide selection of toys and learning materials.
Ann our nursery chef, and Kim her assistant, work well alongside each other to provide nutritious meals and to cater for all our children’s needs and dietary requirements.
We offer a large garden which has separate space for our younger children to explore their outside surroundings, our garden is currently undertaking a makeover which is due to start WC June 18th.
Facilities at the nursery include: -
- Good Ofsted 2010 - Click here to see our report
- Newly refurbished
- Spacious rooms, with separate baby and first steps areas
- Exciting menu cooked fresh by the Nursery Chef
- Housekeeper on site daily to allow staff to dedicate their time to care for the children
I first started working at the Corby site in 2006 and have been in the Managers post since 2011. Like myself, some of my team have also seen their own children progress and develop into confident little people whilst attending our very own setting,
With over 13 years’ experience in the child care industry I am a highly motivated professional who is committed to offering high quality child care. I hold a level 3 Diploma in child care and education and also a NVQ 4 in child care which I gained whilst working as a deputy manager. I continue to attend relevant child care courses to enhance and increase my knowledge with the most recent course being the Northamptonshire Baby Room Project and the new EYFS course and first aid at work.
I have two young children of my own, , my eldest has attend from babies through to going to school and she has enjoyed her time and experiences at nursery and I feel that this definitely helped her to prepare for school and made the transition easy.
My youngest currently attends in the first steps unit and has developed and gained some very valuable skills since starting nursery. She has a very close bond to her key worker which really helps when leaving her during the day knowing that she is happy and settled.
I am passionate about working in childcare as every day brings you new challenges and joy, you see the children learn and practice new skills though fun activities. We enjoy building positive relationships with the parents and children and always like to get everyone involved in events and activities
