About Us

Busy Bees in Daventry is a single storey building situated on Ashby Fields opposite the local primary school and near a doctors and a dentist surgery. The nursery has a private car park situated at the front of the nursery enabling parents to drop off and collect their child with ease.

New for 2010...
On your child's second settling in visit we will be including a hot dinner so they can try our nursery food with you there. 


 

Meet the Manager

Nursery Manager, Joanna, started as a Nursery Assistant in 2002 and gained her NVQ Level 3 in 2004. Joanna became Nursery Manager in April 2009 and continues to update her knowledge by attending training courses within the company.

Joanna is a dedicated Manager, who enjoys her job and loves spending time with all of the children.

Food for Thought

At Busy Bees in Daventry we make mealtimes happy social occasions, where skills can be developed and new foods tasted.

We are dedicated to providing your children with fresh, well-balanced meals every day; that not only taste great, but that also provide lots of nourishment.

Phil VickeryTo ensure we are providing well balanced, nutritious meals to our children, the Busy Bees catering team worked alongside Michelin-starred chef, Phil Vickery, and a child nutritionist to create a brand new range of delicious recipes to use, as part of the nurseries' day to day menus.

Our nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where all meals are prepared and cooked using only the freshest produce - including fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

Each meal is carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and to cater for any special dietary requirements.

  • The nursery provides healthy, nutritious meals, freshly prepared on site 
  • We actively encourage children to examine food sources
  • We make meal times a social event, encouraging the children to talk about a variety of food and the food they eat
  • We are able to cater for special dietary requirements as necessary
  • We have won the Heartbeat Award for the fifth year running for the healthy food choices we provide the children with at meal times
  • We have recently been awarded 5 stars from the Environmental Health Office

Meet Our Catering Team

Nursery Cook, Linsy, is a popular member of staff and has been with the company since 2002. Linsy started as a Kitchen Assistant, before becoming a full time cook.

Linsy has Level 3 in Supervising Food Safety in Catering and takes every opportunity to update her training and knowledge.

Linsy is proactive in her approach to promoting healthy eating; regularly talking to the children about food, and holding Healthy Eating Taster evenings for parents.
