Busy Bees in Formby is a converted Victorian house divided into five different base rooms where we offer a balance of care and education. It has a large and enclosed outdoor area that provides Children with many opportunities for learning and physical play. Formby nursery is near to the beach, public schools and local village which on occasions Children will visit on trips out.

Formby nursery have very good partnerships with the local schools and they invite teachers to visit our nursery before Children undergo transitions to their new schools. Onsite Formby nursery have over 70% of staff qualified at NVQ Level 3 and Emma Woods, acting Manager is a Qualified Early Years Professional with a BA (Hons) in Early Years Education.

In March 2011 Busy Bees achieved a Good in their Ofsted inspection, which has reflected on the hard work and dedication of the team at Formby. Formby also offer all meals, nappies and wipes at no additional cost. Our healthy and nutritious meals are prepared and cooked onsite by our full time and qualified Head Chef.

Hello, my name is Emma Woods. I am a fully qualified nursery nurse and have worked for Busy Bees since May 2006. In August 2011 I completed my Degree in Early Years Practice for which I achieved a 1st class award. I have also recently completed my Early Years Professional Status which recognises my ability to lead practice and deliver high quality care for children. I also carry with me a number of other qualifications including first aid at work, paediatric first aid, health and safety qualifications and many more.

Since working for Busy Bees I have enjoyed working with children, families, and the Busy Bees team. It is lovely to see children achieve and develop so well. I feel we have a very good team here who work well and provide the very best for children and their families.
