Our childrens nursery in Leeds is a bright, spacious and modern purpose-built building with free parking and good transport links. The nursery is ideally located just off the A63 ring road at Colton and also has links to the M62 and M1 motorways.
Busy Bees in Colton Mill, Leeds has two managers; Julie Clark (Childcare Manager) and Rebecca Barnard (Business Manager).
Julie started working for our Leeds childrens nursery in March 2005 as a Nursery Assistant and undertook her NVQ Level 3 with Busy Bees. Julie was promoted to a Room Leader position and completed courses in Makaton, First Aid in the Workplace, Food Safety, Improving Learning Outdoors, Child Protection, and Behaviour Management.
In September 2007, Julie enrolled on a three year Foundation Degree in Early Years at Leeds/Harrogate University: Because of the knowledge gained on the Foundation Degree, Julie put herself forward for promotion to cover the Deputy’s maternity leave. In May 2009, Julie was successfully promoted again to Childcare Manager.
Rebecca started at Busy Bees in March 2006 and holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Business Management and a Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice. Becca has also completed courses in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Behaviour Management, Healthy Eating and Food Nutrition and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

At Busy Bees at Colton Mill we make mealtimes happy social occasions, where skills can be developed and new foods tasted.
We are dedicated to providing your children with fresh, well-balanced meals every day; that not only taste great, but that also provide lots of nourishment.
Our nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where all meals are prepared and cooked using only the freshest produce - including fresh fruit and vegetables every day.
Each meal is carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and to cater for any special dietary requirements.
Our Nursery Cook is Claire Atkinson who has worked with our Leeds childrens nursery since June 2008 and our Kitchen Assistant is Emma Hancock. Both have prior kitchen experience and have achieved Food Hygiene Level two certificate.
Claire works closely with other Busy Bees chefs and nutritionists when planning our menus. All of our food is prepared fresh each day and Claire will cater for any special dietary requirements.
