Why choose Busy Bees at Hall Place: -

Busy Bees at Hall Place is set in the fantastic grounds of The Berkshire College of Agriculture, close to the M4, M40, A404, M25.

We are a purpose built nursery surrounded by 180 acres of green fields and landscaped gardens. We have 5 large rooms each with ample natural light and direct access to individual gardens. We also have a large kitchen where our chef prepares fresh food and snacks, whilst opposite this is our training room where internal and external training takes place. With so much space we are lucky also have a large garden, big enough for exploring, bug finding, digging or just being together in our ‘willow igloo’. The children have many opportunities to walk a short distance to our forest adventure area where they can build dens, wander through wild flowers and discover the joys of nature.

Your child will enjoy a variety of experiences and opportunities from role play, painting, mark making to multi sports activities, water play and much more. We ensure that all activities are suitable for the children’s current development yet challenging enough to extend their learning. Each child’s Key worker ensures that the children are inspired and interested while feeling safe and secure.

We would love to show around our Nursery, please feel free to contact us via telephone, email or just pop in.

Come along to our Stay & Play sessions every Thursday from 10am until 11am.

I have been working at Busy Bees for 4 years and have worked with children and their families for 25 years. I am extremely passionate about providing high quality childcare where all children can learn through meaningful play in a safe and inspiring environment.

I currently hold a Level 4 qualification in Early Years Education and am looking at finishing my Degree in the near future (when my own children are a little older). Professional development is very important to me and I have attended many courses over the course of my career, including Safe Guarding Children, Paediatric and Work Place First Aid, Inclusion, Multi-Agency working and Child Psychology (Life span development). I started my career as an Enrolled nurse working in Obstetrics then moved onto Early Years Education where I studied at Auckland Teachers Training College. I have been lucky enough to work in and travel to many countries and have always been intrigued at the variety of childcare provisions, one thing I discovered is ‘All children regardless of race, religion or ability; Learn when they PLAY!’

We have a strong team of staff who are committed to all the children in our care and aim to inspire and encourage children to reach their full potential through meaningful play. We are constantly reflecting and evaluating our services to ensure we are offering the children the best we can.

I live with my partner of 10 years and our two children aged 6 years and 3 years, both of whom have either attended Busy Bees or still do. They love nursery life at Hall Place.
