Healthy Eating

Food for Thought

At Busy Bees at Nottingham University we make mealtimes happy social occasions, where skills can be developed and new foods tasted.

We are dedicated to providing your children with fresh, well-balanced meals every day; that not only taste great, but that also provide lots of nourishment.

Phil VickeryTo ensure we are providing well balanced, nutritious meals to our children, the Busy Bees catering team worked alongside Michelin-starred chef, Phil Vickery, and a child nutritionist to create a brand new range of delicious recipes to use, as part of the nurseries' day to day menus.

[Click Here] to download a sample nursery menu and see some of the tasty dishes being served in our nurseries.

Our nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where all meals are prepared and cooked using only the freshest produce - including fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

Each meal is carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and to cater for any special dietary requirements.

  • Weaning menus, designed for the introduction of different foods and textures in to a baby's diet
  • Meals and recipes from Michelin Starred Chef, Phil Vickery, included within our menus
  • All staff are trained in Food Hygiene and Special Diets which includes our allergy procedures
