I have been in childcare for 20 years starting originally in childminding whilst my two children were growing up and then progressed as a nursery nurse through to Manager in 2004. I have managed a variety of childcare settings and started at Peatmoor in 2009. I am passionate about working with children and ensuring along with my team their days are filled with fun and all of their interests are met. I am qualified to Level 3 in childcare and have recently undertaken a ‘Leadership Capability Programme’ in order for me to provide the best outcomes for the children and staff at Peatmoor. I enjoy training of all levels and encourage my team to undertake the necessary training to ensure they are kept up to date with necessary changes within the childcare field.

I have been at Swindon Peatmoor nursery since October 2008 and have a highly qualified and long standing team who are as passionate about childcare as I am. One of my team has recently finished her Degree in childhood studies and is continuing to further this by taking her BA honours alongside her Early Years Professional Status.

I currently have 7 members of staff who have achieved their 1st aid at work qualification and myself and 2 other members of staff have achieved their level 1 in ‘British Safety Council’ qualification to enhance our Health and Safety programme at Peatmoor.

I have a qualified Head Chef who cooks nutritious and fresh meals on the premises and we recently achieved a 5* award from Environmental Health.
