Healthy Eating

Food for Thought

At Busy Bees at Preston Hospital we make mealtimes happy social occasions, where skills can be developed and new foods tasted.

We are dedicated to providing your children with fresh, well-balanced meals every day; that not only taste great, but that also provide lots of nourishment.

Phil VickeryTo ensure we are providing well balanced, nutritious meals to our children, the Busy Bees catering team worked alongside Michelin-starred chef, Phil Vickery, and a child nutritionist to create a brand new range of delicious recipes to use, as part of the nurseries' day to day menus.

[Click Here] to download a sample nursery menu and see some of the tasty dishes being served in our nurseries.

Our nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where all meals are prepared and cooked using only the freshest produce - including fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

Each meal is carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and to cater for any special dietary requirements.

  • We are currently completing the Healthy Schools Awards which we are due to complete shortly
  • We encourage healthy eating by role play and introducing new foods to the children
  • We will be creating an allotment for the children to use, so they can plant their own fruit and vegetables and understand how they grow and where they come from.
