Busy Bees at Weston Super Mare
Why choose Busy Bees at Weston Super Mare: -
Busy Bees at Weston Super Mare is a purpose built, two storey nursery with a lift to access upstairs if needed. The nursery is located just off J21 of the M5, on the retail park next to Morrisons.
The nursery has 6 rooms specifically designed for each age group, providing lots of opportunities for play and exploration. The children can benefit from our large, fully enclosed garden and a we have a separate garden for babies with a soft astro-turf surface. The garden has an inviting climbing frame, sand, water and an abundance of toys for the children to explore. The staff also work with the children in our growing area where we try our best to grow flowers as well as herbs for the kitchen.
Our staff team are dedicated to ensuring the children have lots of fun whilst at nursery. The babies can explore our black and white ‘busy babies’ area and the older children get involved with our ‘cooking with me’ initiative and keep active by doing the ‘Busy Bees wake and shake’. The key person philosophy enables children to have a named person they can relate to and build relationships with and the staff observe the children to get to know their interests and support their development.
Each day our head chef Sue cooks fresh home cooked meals for the children using seasonal ingredients. The menus offer a variety of foods to ensure they are nutritious and provide for the children’s dietary needs. The nursery has achieved a Bronze soil association award for our catering.

I have been working as Manager at the nursery since June 2005. Childcare has been a passion of mine since I was at school and I really enjoy supporting the children in their learning and exploring.
I am married and have twin Girls and a little boy. As a family we love to spend time outdoors at the park, the beach or just going for a walk. I enjoy swimming when I get the time, however I am currently undertaking a BA HONS in early years so have very little spare time.
The nursery has recently had a refurbishment so we are busy putting the finishing touches up to brighten up the rooms. Our next project is going to be the garden, to introduce a variety of exciting resources so the children can get the most of being outside. As part of a team I enjoy watching the progress of the nursery unfold as we are forever introducing new exciting initiatives and resources for the children to explore.
