Why choose Busy Bees at Farringtons: -

Busy Bees Nursery is a purpose-built nursery set in the beautiful grounds of Farringtons School. All the rooms are light and spacious and well equipped to cater for all of the children's individual needs.

  • 'My son Alfie attended Busy Bees for 2 years. During this time he made many friends and learnt the early skills preparing him for school. He was very happy and always enjoyed his days at nursery. I found the staff to be very accommodating and helpful and have recommended the nursery to my friends.' Mrs S Peacock
  • 'My son has attended Busy Bees at Farringtons for the past 3 years. During this time he has been introduced to a wide variety of food. The comprehensive menu that is provided for the children, from weaning stage onwards, ensures that the children have their essential food groups but also introduces them to foods that would not necessarily be given in the home. Examples include lentil curry and enchiladas to my sons favourite, meatballs.' Mrs M Short

I have been the Nursery Manager here at Busy Bees Farringtons since September 2005, when the nursery opened. My Background has always been in childcare. I completed my NNEB Diploma in childcare and education at the age of 21 and since then have worked in the private childcare sector. During this time I also completed a NVQ 4 in Management which has supported me and gave me the foundation for the leadership and management role I do each day.

My hobbies and interest tend to be crafty and creative. I enjoy gardening, baking and arts and crafts with my daughter. During the summer months as a family we enjoy long weekends around the Kent coast.

In December 2007 I had my daughter Bethany who since 8 months old has attended Farringtons with me. Becoming a mum completely changed my perspective on childcare. For the first time I was truly able to understand the worries and thoughts a new mum feels when leaving their child for the first time. As a nursery manager I have always strived to provide the highest quality in childcare but now as a mum not only strive for the best but also understand that going that extra mile makes all the difference. Each experience is unique to each child and parent and here at Busy Bees myself and the team aim to provide that unique experience. You not only join the nursery but you become part of our extended family.

As a manager I am passionate about the nursery, children, parents and my staff. Farringtons is a happy, relaxed and professional environment and has supported since opening over 500 families in and around the local community with their childcare needs.
