About Us

Busy Bees at Leyton Road is a converted house based on two levels. The nursery is located in the small town of Harpenden, just a five minute walk from the train station.

Meet the Manager

Our Nursery managers are Emma and Ally.

Emma, has been with the company for 15 years, starting as a Nursery Assistant at our Rothamsted Lodge nursery. She has been a Nursery Manager with Busy Bees for eight years, three of those currently at Leyton Road.

Emma has Diploma Level 3 in Nursery Nursing, Level 3 Introductory in Management, Peadiatric 1st Aid and Health and Safety, Level 1.

Ally has a Diploma in Childcare and Education and further qualifications in Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and First Aid. She has worked for Busy Bees for 6 years and has loved every minute of it.

Ally says "I have a real enthusiasm for providing the best possible care for each individual child. The main priority for our nursery is the children's safety, happiness and that they all have a fantastic time. I love to see each child grow and flourish from strength to strength."

Parent Testimonials

"When we arrived here (in England) Matteo could not speak a word of English but the care and efforts of everyone in the nursery helped him settle in to the new environment. He met a lot of friends, met a lot of nice and loving carers and every morning joined them with joy and enthusiasm.

We have been living in Harpenden for 3 years now and Matteo has just started school. This is a big change, an exciting adventure, and we realise that at Busy Bees he received very good childcare, both from a personal and learning point of view. He was prepared fro the 'jump' and made aware of most of the new activities that are usually carried out at school. He was seen as an individual with his own characteristics and passions, and has been looked after with professional care and a lot of affection." Barbara Massimo
