The nursery has 5 spacious rooms for children aged from 3 months to 5 Years, all the individual rooms have access to a garden area, in which the children have opportunities to explore, investigate and learn. The children enjoy the ‘Grow your Own’ initiative planting and nurturing flowers and vegetables in their gardens. The children have many learning opportunities throughout all the age groups, in which experienced and qualified staff cater for all children’s individual needs and interests for personalised learning. The rooms are bright and stimulating with a wide range of resources available both inside and out.
Whilst at nursery the children enjoy delicious home cooked food which is nutritionally balanced and healthy. We have a four week rolling menu which takes advantage of fresh, seasonal produce and allows our children to experience a wide variety of tastes, textures, flavours and colours within their meal. We are also fully equipped to provide food for children with allergies or intolerances as well as cultural preferences and we will always provide a vegetarian option to meat dishes.
The staff here at Milton Keynes Hospital are committed, skilled and most of all passionate about their roles, the children and parents. I have been working in the childcare sector for over 12 years and worked my way up the career ladder to nursery manager of an independent private nursery in 2007. During this time I studied at the University of Northampton to achieve the Early Years Foundation Degree and then completed my B.A (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies. I am an approved facilitator for Milton Keynes Safeguarding Children’s Board and am able to deliver training to other professionals based on MKSCB policies. I have a wide range of knowledge and experience based on safeguarding children and young people, behaviour management and children with Special Educational Needs.
I joined Busy Bees in 2010 and witnessed straight away the excellent standards of personalised care for every individual child. My team and I strive to make every child and family feel welcome and at ease during their time at nursery and strongly believe that every child and family matters. We actively encourage parents and families to become involved in their child’s learning and development and are always welcome in the nursery to watch and observe their child playing or to read stories to all the children under the staffs supervision.
The whole team are dedicated to improving and developing their own knowledge and understanding of childcare and development by regularly attending training through Busy Bees and the local authority. We really do want our children to have fun in a safe and stimulating environment and receive the very best care there is.
