Hello, I’m Karen Pogonowski and I am the Manager here at Busy Bees Thorley Park. I am proud to say I am the Manager of this fantastic little nursery. We pride ourselves on having a ‘home from home’ atmosphere which is an ethos my team and I are keen to maintain.
I have worked for Busy Bees for 7 years and have been in child care since 1980. Whilst with Busy Bees I have worked at our Chingford nursery, firstly as Room Manager for under 2’s, then Room Manager for Preschool and then as Assistant Manager, having a spell as Acting Manager to cover mat leave. I then progressed to jointly managing the Finchley Nursery and then onto London City as the Manager, before arriving here in the lovely little town of Thorley.
Whilst at Busy Bees I have completed lots of training including First Aid at Work, Paediatric First aid, Level 2 in Food Management, British Safety Council Level 1 certificate, Designated Person for Safeguarding, EYFS and Safe Handling of Medicine. I was, prior to being Manager the SENCO and have many years experience working with children with additional needs including speech and language delay, social/emotional problems, behavioural difficulties and medical conditions such as cystic fibrosis and cerebral palsy.
I am passionate about providing first class childcare to all of our children and making sure parents can leave their children with us safe in the knowledge that their children will be safe, happy and developing new skills.
A large amount of the children who attend this nursery come as a result of parent recommendations, others already having siblings here or previously here. Why don’t you come along and have a complimentary stay and play session, look around the nursery and see how your child could benefit from attending this special little nursery. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
