Welcome to Busy Bees in York, my name is Jo Boyne and I am the Nursery Manager. I qualified as a nursery nurse in 1997 and in 2010 I graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies. I am a busy working mum of 2 beautiful girls and understand the pressures that parents face in their everyday family life.

I have 14 years experience in private day care, 10 years with Busy Bees. I started as a nursery nurse at Busy Bees in York in 2001, then in 2006 I was promoted to Nursery Manager at Busy Bees in Brough. During my time as Manager at Brough the nursery achieved an Outstanding Ofsted grade and became a Busy Bees Centre of Excellence. In 2011 the opportunity arose to transfer back to York and I was delighted to re-join many of the original staff team from 10 years ago!

I am dedicated to offering the best possible childcare, leading a team of staff with a range of experience and qualifications, many of whom are parents themselves. The nursery offers an exciting and stimulating environment for children to develop and learn at their own pace. The warm and friendly atmosphere enables the staff to work together to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children in their care, often going above and beyond their role to achieve this.

All prospective parents are welcome at any time to meet myself and the team and view the fantastic facilities available.
