About Us

Busy Bees in Edgbaston is a large two-storey building conveniently located close to Five Ways Island and Broad Street. The nursery is ideally situated on both bus and train routes in to Birmingham. 

Meet the Manager

Diane has been working in childcare for over 15 years, 11 with Busy Bees and has been a manager for 9 years.  She has a variety of experience including a youth club leader and a brownie leader.

Diane is herself a mother of three and is level 4 qualified in childcare and currently completing a degree in early years.

  • Regular visits from ZooLab
  • Tiny Talk - The Majority of the staff have been trained on Tiny Talk and use this on a daily basis. The parents are also taught the signs that we are using so that this can continue at home as well

At Busy Bees in Edgbaston we make mealtimes happy social occasions, where skills can be developed and new foods tasted.

We are dedicated to providing your children with fresh, well-balanced meals every day; that not only taste great, but that also provide lots of nourishment.

Phil VickeryTo ensure we are providing well balanced, nutritious meals to our children, the Busy Bees catering team worked alongside Michelin-starred chef, Phil Vickery, and a child nutritionist to create a brand new range of delicious recipes to use, as part of the nurseries' day to day menus.

Our nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where all meals are prepared and cooked using only the freshest produce - including fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

Each meal is carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and to cater for any special dietary requirements.

Meet Our Catering Team

Our Nursery Cook, Tony, has been a qualified chef for 40 years. Tony has worked for Busy Bees since 2004, previously working in hotels and restaurants around England and abroad.

Tony is dedicated to providing varied and nutritious menus for the children to enjoy, including different foods from around the world.
