Busy Bees Wirral Beechwood has been praised by Ofsted inspectors for creating a ‘fun-filled’ nursery, as the centre secured an Outstanding rating.
The 68-place Bromborough centre was assessed as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.
Centre Director Kirstie Wallace said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this result, which recognises the hard work of our brilliant centre team, all of whom are committed to ensuring every child gets the best start in life.
“We were especially pleased with the feedback from parents to the inspectors. Our partnership is vital for ensuring their children’s learning progresses well both in nursery and at home, so we are delighted that parents say their children are happy, safe and blossoming with us.”
The report outlines how children attending the nursery ‘make excellent progress across all areas of their development’ and ‘become critical thinkers and problem-solvers’. There was praise for the ‘wealth of exciting and interesting learning experiences’ offered, which create a ‘strong foundation for future learning’.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are very well supported at the centre, with staff using available funding to ensure these children can fully participate in their learning.
The inspector noted how the ‘enthusiastic and passionate’ management of the centre ‘sparked staff’s imagination’ to deliver rich experiences for the children. Staff value the training and support they can access which allows them to think creatively, for example, creating a quiet sensory area to provide a safe space for children who are feeling anxious.
