Staff and children at Busy Bees Rotherham are celebrating after securing an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted.
The Inspector praised the nursery, in the grounds of Rotherham General Hospital, for ensuring children are ‘extremely well prepared for every stage of their learning, including starting school’.
Centre Director Emma Wills said: “The Outstanding result is thanks to the commitment of all our team who work tirelessly to provide high quality early years care and education for all our children.
“We were especially proud that our partnership with parents was recognised, as we believe that relationship is vital to giving all our children the best start in life.”
The report highlights that parents ‘highly recommend’ the nursery and comment ‘positively on the warmth and professionalism of the manager and her staff’. Parents appreciate the ‘openness, regular communication and excellent guidance to support their children’s learning at home’.
The nursery cares for more than 150 local babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, with particular praise for the support for children with special educational needs or disabilities.
The inspector commented on the staff’s ‘wide knowledge of children’s learning needs’ and how they work with other agencies to ‘ensure children achieve their potential’, making ‘strong and sustained progress in all aspects of their learning and development’.
Staff work closely with parents to understand children’s needs, interests and routines, helping them to successfully settle into nursery life and learn to be ‘very happy, confident and inquisitive’.
