Welcome to the home of playful learning

At Busy Bees, our children are at the heart of everything we do, and our new curriculum is no different. That's why we're introducing Bee Curious, a natural extension of the Curriculum for Excellence that nurtures children's natural curiosity and joy.

Designed by leading early years educators and using the latest insights into cognitive science research from across the globe, our new curriculum has been carefully crafted to give every child the best start in life. Children will be better prepared for school through imaginative, inventive and engaging activities with a focus on increasingly important subjects.

These areas of discovery are for children aged three or under and are aligned with Realising the Ambition.

Wellbeing

Children are supported to develop a sense of identity, manage emotions, interact with others, eat healthily and develop their independence.

Confidence, Creativity & Curiosity

Our warm and nurturing environment allows children to practice skills, gain confidence in their own abilities and explore their own creativity. Children are able to freely explore and practice, fostering curiosity, motivation and a joy for learning.

Movement and Coordination

Activities promote core strength, muscle control and fitness, offering a structured progression with daily physical movement for children.

Numeracy & Mathematical Learning

Children are introduced to early mathematical concepts through play-based activities, building the foundations for later learning.

Literacy Learning

Children are introduced to new vocabulary, including the definition, which is carefully planned to advance in complexity throughout the entire curriculum. Children also develop their listening and attention skills. They are also supported to develop a love of books and stories, rhymes and poems through fun filled repeated readings and discussions about the books.

These areas of discovery are for children aged over 3 and align with the Curriculum for Excellence.

Health & Wellbeing

Expressive Arts

Selected examples of music, dance, art, and crafts are intentionally chosen to spark emotional, aural, and visual responses in children. By teaching key skills and practising techniques, children develop a deep appreciation for the arts.
