 - Centre Director

Director

Sarah Radford

Hello, I’m Sarah I’m the Centre Director at Busy Bees Norwich Hospital.

I am truly passionate about the Early Years, and I believe that the ages 0-5 are such an important age range. We all know how quickly young children learn, which is amazing when you consider the challenges that they also face. Our children are no exception – they have been through a lot in the last few years! However, the amazing work that takes place in these formative years plays such a vital role in supporting children’s educational and emotional development and we need to celebrate this.

In 2007 I qualified as a teacher. I have taught in both primary and nursery schools across the age ranges 2-8 years. Along with this, I have also completed my SENCO qualification and I took on this role in my previous setting. I am also a qualified Forest School leader. Alongside my teaching roles, I have also spent a number of years as the Early Years Leader, and the English, Communication and Language and Phonics subject leader across the settings I have worked.

For me, the Centre Director position offers new and exciting challenges that I am eager to pursue. I have a good array of experience in managing staff and leading change across settings, and I am ecstatic to be a part of leading this nursery. I have already observed that I will be dealing with a passionate and enthusiastic group of people as my colleagues.

What
Norfolk and Norwich Hospital
parents say

We’re so grateful to the amazing staff in both Bluebell and Sunflower rooms for the incredible care they’ve given our daughter. She has truly thrived since starting nursery! She’s grown in confidence, communication, and independence every day. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, and their communication with us has been excellent. It’s a comfort knowing she is so well looked after :)

Son has been going for 8 months now and has been developing very well. The staff know him well, send us pictures via a secure app and he loves attending. Sensible use of paracetamol with parental consent and every effort taken by the staff to keep him in nursery rather than send him home for minor illnesses which is hugely appreciated! He gets a good diet and the daily menus are clearly visible. We've even had handmade cards from staff members who have cared for him when he's transitioned to his next room!
