Busy Bees Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a pillar of the local community, conveniently located next to the QE and Women's Hospital, within walking distance of the University train station and bus stop.  We're also easily accessible via the M5, just take junction 4 and follow the A38 Birmingham Road. We've got ample on-site parking, so drop-off and pick-up is a breeze.   

Busy Bees QE is divided into 7 spacious rooms, kitted out with all the resources your little one could ever need. What's more, our expert-staff plan engaging and stimulating activities, all designed to support your child's development.  But we understand that physical development is important too, and our secure outdoor area features a soft play area and playground, packed with age-appropriate toys and apparatus, perfect for getting a daily dose of exercise. 

There's even a custom-designed grass area, where children can grow fruit and vegetables and explore new textures in sandpits.  

Want to keep up to date on your child's progress? No problem. We hold twice yearly parents' evenings, where you'll receive and update from their key person and have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have.  

Busy Bees at Queen Elizabeth Hospital is overseen by centre director Sharon O Toole, who pours her 30 years of childcare experience into every interaction, cultivating a friendly, nurturing space for your little one.

Hi I am Sharon; Manager at Birmingham QE Nursery

I started at Busy Bees QE in 2008 and was based in the Dragonflies room. I'm NVQ level 3 qualified and have worked in childcare since 1994. I became Deputy Manager in October 2013 and the Nursery Training Mentor. In 2015 I then became the Manager. I am the named lead for Safeguarding.

I am looking forward to welcoming you to our dynamic and spacious nursery to show you the outstanding opportunities we can offer your children.

10/10. I can not fault busy bees at all. My son has been there for a year and come on leaps and bounds. They promote healthy choices, independence and confidence. My son has built great relationships with key workers, other staff members and his classmates. Any slight concern I have ever had has been immediately addressed by the staff - as a first time parent this to me is the best quality. I get daily updates, pictures and breakdowns. I highly recommend busy bees at the QE.

I would not send my children anywhere else! We viewed with our eldest through covid and felt so comfortable. He attended from 11 months to 4 years. My second child is due to leave in August and has attended since age 1. The staff have been so helpful with any challenges we have faced. I will be sad our time has come to and end.

Can not fault busy bees! Top quality care, friendly and communicative staff. They have a planned curriculum for the children, and you’re constantly kept in the loop with this via the app, as well as other things. My little boy loves nursery, loves his key workers, and most importantly loved the food! I do not have a negative thing to say!
