Busy Bees Droitwich is celebrating the completion of a £300,000 nursery refurbishment which will offer more than 80 children the best start in life.

The nursery, located on Worcester Road, has undergone a major transformation including brand-new furniture and eco-friendly resources as part of the nursery’s commitment to lowering its carbon footprint.

To encourage open-ended play across all areas of learning, the refurbishment includes brand-new resources made from natural materials such as wooden resources in all areas of learning and less single-use plastics. The resources have been designed to nurture children’s creativity and independence by allowing them to explore at their own pace.

Lucy Price, Centre Director at Busy Bees Droitwich, joined the centre in February 2024. With over 10 years of experience in the early years sector, Lucy is committed to providing the best learning environment for children.

She said: “At the heart of our nursery is ensuring that every single child that walks through our centre receives the best possible start in life. We wanted to create more bespoke spaces catered to our children’s interests and a nurturing environment where they can learn and play.

“Our refurbishment emphasises our commitment to our children, and we believe it will have a positive impact on their Busy Bees journey and their development. The team has worked so hard over the last six months, and I am so proud of what we have achieved – we cannot wait to see what the future holds!”

Busy Bees Droitwich caters for 82 children aged three months to five years, providing high-quality care and early years education.
