A nursery in West Ealing where ‘children become independent from an early age’ is celebrating its second ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted.
Busy Bees West Ealing Baby was recognised for implementing ‘an exceptionally well-designed curriculum’, with children ‘continuously acquiring knowledge and skills and demonstrating ‘exceptional levels of involvement in the activities that staff prepare for them’.
Staff were recognised for their relationships with the children, ensuring that ‘great care is taken’ to meet children’s individual needs. The report also noted that staff have an ‘excellent understanding of how to support children’s learning’, including promoting children’s communication and language skills.
The nursery’s partnership with parents was commended with parents ‘highly complementary about the nursery’. Parents recognised that the nursery team ‘help their children to become confident and curious learners’. Staff were also praised for supporting parents to continue their child’s learning at home, including running toilet-training workshops and providing resource bags.
Centre Director Harvy Sahota and her team were described as ‘committed’ and sharing ‘the highest expectations and aspirations for all children’.
Harvy said: “We are thrilled to have received our second Outstanding rating from Ofsted. I am so proud of the team - they are committed to giving children the best start in life and providing a warm and nurturing environment where children can thrive. We are looking forward to continuing to build on the solid foundation of quality we have in place.”
Staff wellbeing was also given a special mention with ‘staff speaking very highly’ of the support they receive from their manager and how she helps them to improve their practice.
