With eight spacious activity rooms and a vast outdoor space accessible from the nursery rooms, children have plenty of opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences. Our Montessori curriculum and pedagogy encourage children to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning, with outdoor experiences forming an important part of everyday life.

Our Montessori approach places children at the heart of their learning, encouraging independence and allowing them to explore at their own pace. Our carefully prepared environments are designed to support children's natural curiosity, with activities and resources that encourage them to develop practical, social and cognitive skills.

Outdoor learning is a particularly important part of life at Montessori by Busy Bees Alderley Day Nursery, with around 40% of our curriculum delivered outdoors. Our expansive garden gives children the freedom to explore the natural world, develop their physical skills and enjoy hands-on experiences. Our vegetable patch provides opportunities to learn about growing food and caring for nature, while our Eco-Schools approach helps children develop an understanding of the world around them.

We also offer Spanish language experiences, giving children the opportunity to hear and engage with another language from their early years. Our dedicated teacher supports children's learning and development, while our welcoming Parents' Room provides a comfortable space for families.

Montessori by Busy Bees Alderley Day Nursery is located in Nether Alderley, surrounded by open countryside in East Cheshire. We're approximately 15 minutes from Macclesfield and within easy reach of Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and surrounding villages, making us a convenient choice for families across the local area.

For added convenience, the nursery has onsite parking, making drop-offs and collections easy for busy families.

Silvia Chalaris

My name is Silvia Chalaris, and I am the Centre Director at Alderley Montessori.

Originally from Madrid, my professional journey commenced as a qualified primary education teacher however once I set foot in Early Years, I knew it was where I belonged. I love how each day can bring different learning opportunities, the magical environments, and the awe and wonder that it involves.

At Alderley, we are passionate about alternative, holistic, and child-led pedagogies—like Montessori—and hold a belief that children flourish when they are listened to and respected. As a team, we strongly believe that quality Early Years education is the foundation upon which a child’s future is built, and I look forward to working closely with you and your children in these formative years

We are extremely happy with our daughter’s nursery. The staff are caring, friendly and professional, and they have created a lovely, safe and nurturing environment. Our daughter is very happy and has grown in confidence since starting. We would highly recommend the nursery to any parent.

Our daughter has really flourished at this nursery. The staff are so loving and competent, and the Montessori content is of the highest standard. Food is always healthy and there is always lots of outdoor time. I would highly recommend it!

Amazing nursery with kind, caring and warm staff. I’ve been so happy with the care my little boy has had whilst being here. He’s learnt so much and loves his time here, all staff are very open and friendly, even staff in the older classes know my little boys name and are always engaging and interested in him. It has such a lovely family run feel to the nursery. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for care for their little bundles of joy.
