Busy Bees in Bicester is a large, purpose built nursery situated on Bure Park, within easy walking distance of the Town Centre.
Both the train stations and the motorway are just a stones throw away making commuting to work easy to manage.
The nursery aims to provide a homely atmosphere for all the children, we pride ourselves on having an outstanding partnership with our parents. We have built up good links within the local community and work closely with the Children’s Centre and Health Visitors in the area.
The children are provided with many learning opportunities throughout all the age groups, experienced staff plan activities for their individual key children making sure that their needs and interests are met and developed.
The rooms are bright and stimulating with a wide range of resources available, each age group has access to the garden area where the children have opportunities to explore the outside environment.
Our Chef provides the children with delicious freshly made meals which are nutritionally balanced and healthy. We have a four week rolling menu which takes advantage of local, seasonal produces and encourages our children to experience a wide variety of tastes. We are able to cater for children with allergies or any dietary requirements, we always provide a vegetarian option to meat dishes.
The nursery has a Parent Partnership Group that can be contacted via email, if you would like to ask any questions or advice. The group consists of parents whose children already attend the nursery and are happy to give support when you are leaving your child for the first time or even when making transition from room to room. Please feel free to use this service if you have any questions or would like some feedback on the nursery.
A big thank you to all at Busy Bees for our raffle prize of family tickets to Drayton Manor from your 'Help for Heroes' Day. We had a wonderful time.
Both children have gained good social skills and I really think nursery prepared my daughter well for school
He has been extremely happy and contented little boy from his first week. They always cater for all his needs and he loves going. - Emma M
Very impressed with the care my child receives. Nearly 3 years and I wouldn’t dream of changing a thing. She has learnt and advanced so much in herself. All down to the care and enthusiasm of staff. - Helen Du Plooy
“A fun and friendly environment which Ella loves to be in. A team of staff who care about the children in their care†- Mother of Ella
Becky & Nicola
Hi I’m Becky and I have recently returned as Manager of the Bicester Nursery after having a year off on maternity leave with my son Remy.
I have worked at the Nursery since first leaving college in 2005 and have been Manager for the last 7 years. Both my children have attended Bicester Busy Bees and we think of it as a home from home!
Since starting here I have seen lots of children grow and develop which is one of the most rewarding parts of my job as well as helping our long standing staff team to progress in their careers and to continue their learning with further training and development.
I have recently completed a Leadership and Management programme with Coventry University and enjoy extending my knowledge and keeping up to date with any changes. I also have qualifications in First Aid, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Food Management.
I work Monday to Wednesday, sharing the Managers role with Nicola. We are supported by a very strong senior team. Gem, Laura, Laura, Jade, Sophie and Melanie are all very experienced and dedicated to Busy Bees Bicester. One of us will always be in the office to help with any queries you might have.
Hello I'm Nic, I am relatively new to Busy Bees Bicester and am really enjoying working alongside Becky, getting to know all the great staff and children. I am an experienced Nursery Manager and have worked in childcare since 2004, I gained my Degree in Early Years in 2010. I have two young children of my own Oscar and Felix who are settling in to nursery well.
I love working with the staff, reflecting on practice and sharing ideas to constantly improve the care we provide. We aim to create a friendly, warm and welcoming environment that the children can thrive in.
I am looking forward to building relationships with all the families at Busy Bees and will always be in the office on a Thursday and Friday so please do pop in and say hi!
