Situated in the town's suburbs, Kids 1st Bowesfield provides excellent childcare in Stockton-on-Tees. Our purpose-built nursery provides lots of space for your little one to thrive during those all-important early years.

We have multiple childcare rooms, so children can play and learn alongside others from their age group, or those at a similar stage in their development. This nurturing approach allows them to develop at their own pace. They'll also have access to a variety of sensory toys and learning resources designed to help them learn about their senses.

Our Stockton nursery is also lucky enough to have a fully qualified teacher. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) framework in our foundation class. So, during their time with us, your child will receive all the preparation they need for the next step into the school environment.

Most importantly though, it's all about your child’s happiness, something which we provide plenty of opportunity for. The team is always running and creating new activities to keep the children engaged throughout their day with us. So, whatever they enjoy doing, there will always be something for them.

Each room within the nursery has free-flow access to outdoor space. Here, we encourage the children to learn about taking safe risks while under the supervision of our team. Miniature obstacle courses, a climbing frame, and little trikes allow the kids to challenge themselves while being active and enjoying themselves.

Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Kids 1st - Bowesfield, Stockton

Here, at Kids 1st Bowesfield, we like to make life easy for our parents. You can rest assured your child will receive the snacks, meals, and drinks they need as part of a healthy and balanced diet during their time with us. Best of all, it's all included in your nursery fees.

We have an on-site nursery chef who prepares all the food from our NHS-accredited menus. It's all freshly prepared on a daily basis, and where possible we use locally sourced ingredients. Our menus have been developed to help ensure little ones get all the nutrition they need as they grow.

Our team can account for any dietary or health requirements too. So, if your child has a particular need or you'd simply like to chat about your child's diet, speak to your Centre Director.

Wondering what your child could expect to enjoy on a normal day at our nursery? Here's just a small sample from our season menu:

Breakfast

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge.

Morning Snack

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods. Served with a cup of milk or water.

Lunch

Vegetarian sausage with mashed potato and homemade baked beans, followed by fruit yoghurt. Served with a cup of water.

Afternoon Snack

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks. Served with a cup of milk or water.

Early Evening Snack

Satsuma smiles, followed by a toasted bagel topped with cream cheese and a side of summer slaw. Served with a cup of water.

Did you know Busy Bees also offers government-funded childcare? Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Kids 1st Nursery in Stockton-On-Tees are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

You'll find us in the suburbs of Stockton-on-Tees. We're on Cygnet Drive, which is a short distance from the A135 and Bowesfield Marsh.

Parents who prefer to arrive on foot will find we have a handy buggy store, while those coming to use by car will be able to take advantage of the ample car parking space on-site. Both features make dropping off and picking up children far easier and safer, so parents don't have to worry.

All entrances also feature a secure intercom access system, while the nursery also features full CCTV - for your peace of mind.
