Welcome to our nursery…
The Leicester Countesthorpe opened in 2000 and is a purpose built nursery, all on one level. It is welcoming, friendly, happy and has three spacious rooms plus three garden areas.
There are lots of opportunities for the babies and children to explore, create and enjoy. Each room allows children to be busy throughout their day, learning new skills while they play in the well equipped areas. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy, enabling the children to learn in the free flow environment by following their interests and letting their confidence grow.
“Parents speak positively about their child's experience in the nursery. They say their
children are happy and make progress, particularly in their confidence and social skills.
They sing songs and rhymes at home that they have learnt at nursery” Ofsted 2017
We pride ourselves on building excellent relationships between staff, children and parents to ensure that your child's needs are fully met. Our qualified and experienced staff team will ensure that your child's time with the Blackberry Bush is happy and fun and their likes and interests are respected.
We have a beach theme in our outdoor play area. This adventure area offers a variety of activities where children can make their own choices, as well as taking risks. There are ample opportunities for children to play and investigate -; a giant sand pit to explore and opportunities for music making . The babies have their own play area too. Here they have space to crawl and toddle in a safe environment discovering the world around them using all their senses.
“Children have their care needs met effectively. Staff and parents work closely together
to support babies and younger children's specific needs, such as weaning and sleep
routines. Children who have additional needs are managed sensitively with individual
plans of support devised for them” OFSTED 2017
Our magical Discovery Cove is a place where the children can experience and be fascinated by the world of IT and engage their sensory skills. This colourful, interactive place is where the children's imagination, thinking and creativity is developed with the touch screens, hands-on equipment and sensory activities .
