At Montessori by Busy Bees in Putney, our beautiful, purpose-designed Montessori nursery in east Putney, we cultivate a child-first environment designed to encourage independent exploration, self-expression, and collaborative play. 

Our mission is to nurture your little one’s creativity and independence, supporting them as they develop into confident learners, with a strong sense of self. 

Whether they’re delving into the magic of books, teasing their brain with puzzles and games, or developing their creative skills, your little one will be free to explore what sparks their imagination, supported by expert staff. 

And if your little one is the outdoors-y type, they’ll be right at home in our secure, custom-designed outdoor space, complete with tree house, sensory tables, and plenty of space to hone their physical development, all under the watchful eye of staff. 

There’s even a private decking space, allowing children to flow freely between indoor and outdoor activities. 

We’re always developing the Montessori standards at Busy Bees Putney, and we’re supported by our Montessori lead Lucia Quiroga, who promotes a deeper understanding of the Montessori method to our team. 

Busy Bees Putney is overseen by centre director Lauren Fitzgerald, whose approach is informed by her fifteen years of experience in childcare.

All meals, drinks and snacks are prepared on-site by our chef and are NHS accredited.

Outdoor Facilities
Our outdoor environment offers space to explore and take safe risks with the support of our team, aiding child development.

Sensory Room
Our Sensory Room is a relaxing space providing a unique sensory experience with activities and equipment to explore, engaging and stimulating children’s senses.

Parent Room
Our parent room is a dedicated safe space for us to get to know your family and you to speak in confidence with our nursery team about your child's nursery life.

Smart Board
Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 2 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Montessori Nursery in Putney are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

Our Montessori nursery in Putney is located on Lebanon Road, tucked quietly behind the fire station and the busy main Wandsworth Road. We’re a ten-minute walk from East Putney tube station and there are numerous bus routes that pass us travelling down Wandsworth High Street and West Hill.
