My name is Michaela and I have been the Centre Director at Leicester Meridian since the nursery opened in November 2001 before transferring to Edwalton for the opening of this Centre.

I work full time and I love my job, I learn something new each week. I am passionate about our centre and want every child to have the very best start in life, it is a privilege that parents want us to care for their child. I have a son of my own who enjoyed his time at Busy Bees before going on to school and now he's at college! I qualified in 1989 gaining my NNEB certificate in childcare and I continued to study, I am a qualified teacher in adult education and have lectured in childcare for NVQ level 2 & 3 at Leicester college. I am passionate at continually developing my staff's own professional development to progress within their child care careers. I also have my first aid at work qualification for children and adults. In my spare time I love walking, gardening and spending time with my family – at race circuits around the UK, supporting my son’s motorbike career.
