Nursery Facilities

Our purpose-built nursery has been thoughtfully designed to give children the space and freedom they need to learn through play. Our seven inviting base rooms are well resourced with engaging activities and learning opportunities, while our beautiful garden gives children the chance to explore the outdoors and enjoy fresh air as part of their everyday routine.

Our Bee Curious curriculum encourages children to be curious, confident learners, with experiences tailored to their individual interests and stages of development. Our pre-school children are supported as they prepare for their next big step into school, developing independence, confidence, communication and social skills through purposeful play and learning.

We also offer Relax Kids extracurricular sessions, providing children with opportunities to develop their emotional wellbeing and learn techniques that can support relaxation, confidence and self-esteem.

We believe strong relationships with families are an important part of your child's nursery experience. Our Busy Bees App makes it easy to stay connected with your child's day, from their experiences and activities to updates and important information.

For added convenience, we offer on-site parking and a dedicated buggy store, making those busy nursery drop-offs and pick-ups that little bit easier. Our welcoming Parents' Room also provides a comfortable space for families, whether you're settling your child in or simply need a quiet moment during your visit.

Kids 1st Gosforth is ideally located on Jubilee Road in Gosforth, making it a convenient choice for families in the local area. Our centre can be easily accessed via the A1 and is well connected to North Kenton, Coxlodge and Grange Park.

Arriving by bus? You'll find several stops nearby, including one opposite the centre, serviced by bus numbers 6, 7 and 30. Travelling by Metro? We're a short walk from Fawdon station on the Green Line.

Choosing the right nursery is an important decision, and we'd love to show you what makes Kids 1st Gosforth special. Book a visit today to explore our nursery, meet our caring team and discover how we can support your child's early years journey.

Director

Sandra Zafarani

Hello, my name is Sandra and I am the Centre Director here at Kids 1st in Gosforth.

I am responsible for looking after the learning, development and welfare needs of all the children at Kids 1st Gosforth.  I will help your child settle into the nursery and ensure that they thrive in a loving, secure environment.

I have worked at Kids 1st Gosforth since March 2012, as a nursery nurse, I was quickly promoted to EYP graduate and then Deputy Manager.  Where I was later promoted to Centre Director.  I have many years experience in a leadership role and have my foundation degree in Education and Childhood Studies.

I am a keen hiker and at the moment I am trying to complete all the Wainwrights, before I move onto the Monroe's in Scotland. My other passion is musical theatre and  I have two grown up children and a small dog called Maggie.

What
Gosforth
parents say

My little boy has recently started at the nursery, he has settled really well and loves the staff in the room, he's happy to go to them and whenever i pick up hes always exploring and playing. They always give updates on how he is doing and I feel very reassured that he is supported. A big thank you to Toni and Sally, who are fantastic with my little boy.

This nursery is wonderful! My daughter has settled in so well with the help of the staff. They made the process of my daughter starting nursery as smooth as possible and we get plenty of updates throughout the day.
