My name is Helen, and I am a long-standing member of the Busy Bees family with continuous service since February 2003. I started at the Guiseley nursery when it first opened in 2003 as a Nursery Nurse after qualifying from college with my CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education (level 3). I worked my way up the career ladder during my time there and led and supported the nursery with its growth, development and ‘Outstanding’ reputation.
I also hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies and also what is more commonly known now as Early Years Teacher Status (EYT). I have also completed courses in Senco training, First Aid at Work, paediatric first aid and Food Hygiene and my level 5 in Leadership and Management.
I have always been passionate about my job. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing children achieve and grow as they develop their own little personalities. I like to ensure that this is at the forefront of what I do and that this passion can be embedded into the staff team I work with, to ensure we are delivering the highest standards to the children we care for and that are given as many learning opportunities as possible.
I also pride myself on communication and partnership with parents and welcome an open door policy at the nursery where parents can come and speak to me about even the smallest of things of this build confidence and ever important relationships within the nursery.
We love to hear from skilled, ambitious people who can help us give children the best start in life.
