Our nursery provides a range of engaging spaces and resources designed to support children at different ages and stages of development. Children can enjoy outdoor learning and play alongside a variety of indoor activities, while healthy meals and snacks are provided throughout the day. Nappies and wipes are also available where required.

We have a convenient parent room where families can speak privately with our Centre Director when needed, alongside a handy buggy store for parents arriving on foot or by public transport.

Located within Cobalt Business Park in Newcastle, our nursery is easily accessible for families travelling by car or public transport. The setting is positioned away from busy main roads, making drop-offs and collections straightforward and convenient.

For families travelling by public transport, a bus stop on Silver Fox Way provides easy access to the business park, with services 19, 22 and 309.

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am the Centre Director here at Newcastle Upon Tyne.

I have worked with Busy Bees/ Kids 1st for several years where I have progressed from nursery nurse to Early Years Teacher, deputy manager and now Centre Director.  I am passionate about working with children in the early years and ensuring they receive high quality care and education through enriching environments and opportunities; this strived me to complete my degree in Childhood Studies and my Early Years Initial Teacher training at Northumbria University.  

The nursery team is like a big family and many of the staff team have achieved long service awards for their continued service. Having such dedicated staff shows that they are committed to their profession and our families at the centre. I am very proud to be part of this team and thoroughly enjoy my role in the nursery.  

Outside of work my interests include listening to live music and going on walks with my dog Milo, usually along the coast.

Ozzy receives the best care at kids 1st and we couldn’t be happier with him being there.
