My name is Matthew and I am the new Centre Director for Nottingham University.
I am incredibly excited to be joining Busy Bees Nottingham University as Centre Director. I have been working in education for over 15 years. I started off working as a teacher within schools, including being a senior leader and managing a nursery in a school setting. I am extremely passionate about the Early Years and how crucial it is as it shapes the foundation for emotional, social, and cognitive skills that carry us forward into adulthood. Since 2022 I have been working in private nursery settings and have been in managerial roles for 2 years. I am a big advocate for outdoor learning, building positive and nurturing attachments and have a massive love of books and know how beneficial it can be to support children's learning and communication and language development. In my spare time I love to read, build Lego, and explore the great outdoors with my husband and adopted son. My first role within a private early year's setting was with Busy Bees in Derby and I am proud to back to Busy Bees to support the centre to give our children the best start in life.
We love to hear from skilled, ambitious people who can help us give children the best start in life.
