At Busy Bees at Salford University, we provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where babies, toddlers and preschoolers can learn, play and thrive. Our purpose-built nursery is located on the Frederick Road Campus, making us a convenient choice for families connected to the university and the wider Salford community.

Our long-serving team create a familiar and supportive environment where children can feel secure and develop at their own pace. We also work closely with local outside agencies to provide additional support and guidance for families, including workshops covering topics such as weaning, toilet learning and preparing for school.

Our nursery has three spacious rooms, each thoughtfully designed around different ages and stages of development. Every age group has its own dedicated garden with free-flow access, allowing children to move between their indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day and enjoy learning through play in the fresh air.

Children also have access to shared spaces including our learning hub and dining room, alongside a wide range of resources and activities that encourage creativity, imagination and independence. Our diverse setting celebrates different backgrounds and experiences, helping children develop an understanding and appreciation of the world around them.

Located on the Frederick Road Campus, our nursery is easily accessible on foot, by car and by public transport. A number of regular bus services operated by Stagecoach, First Group and Diamond Bus North West run within walking distance of the nursery.

We also have on-site parking for convenient drop-offs and collections, as well as a handy buggy store for families arriving on foot or by public transport.

Hello, our names are Aimee Stone and Lucy Parker and we are the Centre Directors here at Busy Bees at The University of Salford.

Here at our centre, we create a caring and welcoming environment where children can feel secure, confident and at home. Our team provides engaging opportunities for children to learn through play, explore their interests and develop new skills, with experiences tailored to support each child's individual development.

We value the strong relationships we build with children and families and work together to create a positive nursery community where everyone feels supported.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child and sharing in the exciting first steps of their learning journey.

We’ve had both of our children at this nursery and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The whole team are fantastic, really friendly, caring and always make you feel welcome. Both of our children was very happy here and it’s been great knowing they’re being looked after by such a brilliant group of people. A massive thank you to the whole team for everything you’ve done for our family over the years. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nursery.

A lovely nursery full of caring and supportive staff who clearly put a lot of effort into their jobs and caring for the children. Our daughter loved attending and the key workers!

We’ve been using Busy Bees Salford for the last 2.5 years and couldn’t ask for better care for our little girl. All the staff are so lovely, kind and caring, and we know she’s safe, happy and well looked after when she’s there 😊 would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
