My name is Abi Fordham and I am the Centre Director here at Busy Bees Stotfold. I have been at this centre since November 2020. My son attends the centre and is thriving each and every day. I can see first hand in his development the impact attending the centre has. 
I started my childcare career in February 2017 with Busy Bees as a relief member of staff. I quickly realised that childcare was the career path I would like to take and I started my Level 3 qualification. The Busy Bees training team were very supportive making the course extremely enjoyable. Once I qualified, I received a promotion to Room Manager and started working towards my Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification. From then I gained experience working within the rooms and leading teams until I became a Centre Director. In my role as Centre Director I have certified competency within the following areas; First Aid at work, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, SEND, Behaviour Management and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
My team and I are very proud of our home from home style nursery that adds to the family feel we have throughout. We all ensure that each family receives a warm welcome and feels assured that their children are getting the best start in life. My team are passionate about tailoring each child’s learning to ensure the best outcomes. It is rewarding to us all to see each child’s unique journey through the centre in preparation for school.
