Welcome to Busy Bees Sutton Scotney, where our well-equipped day nursery in Winchester caters to babies from 3 months to 5-year-old preschoolers.  

With 4 unique rooms, and garden areas designed to meet the needs of our children, we provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment where children can learn, develop and thrive. 

We pride ourselves on providing a range of fun-filled activities tailored to each child's interests and developmental needs. Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, our dedicated staff create enriching experiences that inspire curiosity and creativity in every child. 

Rest assured your child's well-being is our top priority at Busy Bees Sutton Scotney. Which is why we have a chef who prepares nutritious meals on-site, in line with NHS accredited menus, ensuring that every child receives the fuel they need to flourish and grow. 

Additionally, you can get involved in our proactive and enthusiastic Parent Partnership Group sessions to discuss innovative ideas and provide feedback to help enhance the service provided. We also regularly hold family fun stay and play sessions so parents and families can feel included and involved in their child's nursery experience.

Our Sensory Room is a relaxing space providing a unique sensory experience with activities and equipment to explore, engaging and stimulating children’s senses.

Parent Room
Our parent room is a dedicated safe space for us to get to know your family and you to speak in confidence with our nursery team about your child's nursery life.

Smart Board
Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Busy Bees Sutton Scotney

At Busy Bees, we understand the importance of promoting healthy eating habits early on in life. That’s why we ensure all the food and drink we serve is nutritionally balanced. 

During your child’s typical day at our Winchester nursery, they’ll enjoy regular meals and refreshments from our NHS Startwell-accredited menu. 

There’s nothing extra to pay for this – it’s all included in your nursery fees. Everything is freshly prepared on the day by our talented on-site nursery chef. And if your child has any specific dietary requirements, don’t worry – we can account for their needs. Speak to your Centre Director for more information.

Breakfast  

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge. 

Morning Snack  

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods, served with a cup of milk or water. 

Lunch  

Chicken goujons (vegetarian option: vegetable croquettes) served with homemade baked beans, mixed potato wedges and a cup of water. Followed by pears for dessert. 

Afternoon Snack  

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks served with a cup of milk or water. 

Early Evening Snack 

Cheese twists to start, followed by spring vegetable soup served with a cup of water.

Our Fees

Did you know Busy Bees also offers government-funded childcare? If eligible, you could be entitled to up to 570 or 1140 hours of funded childcare, depending on your eligibility and your child's age, each year for your child. Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Sutton Scotney are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

Our nursery in Winchester is nestled in the heart of Sutton Scotney in a converted Methodist chapel. The convenient location offers parents plenty of options with easy access to junctions A34 and A303 and only 5-minutes’ drive from Micheldever Station with trains running directly to London Waterloo.    

For those relying on public transport, there's a bus stop conveniently located just a short walk from the nursery on Oxford Road, near the Fire Station, serving bus route 86.
