Nursery Facilities

At Montessori by Busy Bees South Lambeth, our Montessori Bee Curious Curriculum brings together the principles of Montessori education with the curiosity-led approach of Bee Curious. Children are encouraged to be as independent as possible, making choices, exploring their interests and learning through purposeful, hands-on experiences. Our Montessori-trained team members in every room act as guides, offering support and encouragement while giving children the time and space to discover things for themselves.

Our large, carefully prepared rooms are tailored to the different stages of children's development, with purposeful Montessori materials that encourage concentration, coordination, problem-solving and practical life skills. Children also benefit from a large garden with free-flow access, allowing them to move between indoor and outdoor learning and enjoy plenty of opportunities for physical development, imaginative play and exploring the natural world.

We believe some of the best learning happens beyond the nursery too. Every Thursday during term time, our children visit Oasis Nature Garden, giving them the opportunity to explore nature, develop their curiosity and experience the world around them first-hand. We also offer Bilingual Beats Spanish classes, introducing children to another language through fun and engaging experiences.

Our team is one of the special things about our nursery. We have a number of long-standing team members, including three who have been with us for more than 10 years and five who have been part of the team for more than five years. Their experience and continuity help us build strong, meaningful relationships with children and families.

Positive relationships with parents and carers are equally important to us. We work closely with families and use our Montessori App to share regular updates about your child's day, helping you stay connected with their experiences, progress and development even when you're not at nursery.

Our South Lambeth nursery is well connected for families commuting across South London. We're based on Thorparch Road in SW8, with Stockwell Underground Station nearby, served by the Northern and Victoria lines, and excellent connections towards Vauxhall, Clapham and central London. The nursery also offers onsite parking and a convenient buggy store, making drop-offs and collections easier for families travelling by car or on foot.

Come and discover Montessori by Busy Bees South Lambeth for yourself. Book a visit to explore our Montessori environments, meet our experienced team and see how our Montessori Bee Curious approach can support your child's early years journey.

A warm welcome

from our Director
 - Centre Director

Director

Marta Siwakowska

Hi, my name is Marta, and I am the Centre Director at Montessori by Busy Bees, South Lambeth.

I have been working in childcare for the past 13 years and love every minute spent in the nursery. Growing up in the childcare environment (both my mum and grandma were early years teachers) has prepared me well for my career. I moved from a company that had a bespoke curriculum based on Forest School, Bruna, Reggio Emilia and Montessori theories and I realised that I would love to work in a full Montessori environment as it provides unique opportunities for each child to thrive in their own way and pace. I believe that the Montessori method of teaching is the best start we can offer to our children.

I have joined Busy Bees, South Lambeth because I’ve fallen in love with the building, children and the team on my first visit. I believe that all children should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential and working closely with parents and the lovely team, here at South Lambeth, will help us achieve this.

Meet the amazing team

What
South Lambeth
parents say

We feel truly grateful to have found Busy Bees South Lambeth. Our daughter is genuinely happy there: she comes home full of stories and clearly benefits from the variety of activities and the daily time spent outside in the lovely patio space. The Montessori philosophy makes a real difference: we’ve watched our daughter grow in confidence and independence in such a natural and joyful way. Finally, we truly appreciate the strong sense of community and belonging here. The team makes a real effort to involve parents through thoughtful events, such as art exhibitions, Mother’s and Father’s Day celebrations, and other celebrations like the beautiful World Culture Day, where families come together to share food and traditions. It creates such a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels part of something special.
