Meet the team
I began my career with Busy Bees Welwyn Garden City in 2005, shortly after having my son Benjamin. I started working as the Nursery administrator, and after a year I progressed to Assistant Manager. I had already gain my NNEB qualifications back in 2000.
In 2011 I became the Centre Director of Welwyn Garden City, a role that I thoroughly enjoy and feel very grateful to do. it is a great passion of mine to support and see children grow and become prepared for BIG school.
I am very dedicated to my position as Centre Director and have a real passion for learning and enhancing my professional development, so much so I have completed my Foundation Degree in Early Years, and have also completed a level 5 degree in Management, in addition to this I have certified competency within the following areas: Advanced first Aid, First Aid at work, Behaviour Management, Food Hygiene, SEND, Business and Team Leading. I am a Designated Safeguarding Person within the Centre.
My team and I our very proud of Welwyn Garden City, and we make it our task everyday to ensure that every child that attends the centre receives the very best start in life, we embrace every child’s individuality and reflect on our practise to ensure that each child thrives in their learning and development. We are very passionate about providing an outstanding level of care and commitment to the children and parents.
Welwyn Garden City is a fantastic centre, which I am very proud to manage. both my children Benjamin and Olivia have attended the centre and have truly enjoyed their time here. Both began their journey with Busy Bees when they were 9 months old and continued their journey until it was time to go to primary school, the skills and confidence they both gained at the centre were amazing and this really prepared them for Big school. I can’t thank you staff enough for their time, knowledge, care and support.

Assistant Centre Director
Sally has been our Assistant Centre Director since 2019, she has over 23 years experience within the childcare industry. Sally is very passionate about children's development and she enjoys supporting them to achieve their goals.
Senior Room Manager
Stephanie works in our Bumble toddler room, she manages both the toddler rooms and supports the staff in creating exciting opportunities for the children. Steph has worked at the centre since 2015 and has 10 years experience within the industry. Stephanie is very passionate about the learning opportunities available for children and she really enjoys creating new environments for them to explore.
Lisa is our Head Chef and has been at the centre since 2013. Julie is our Catering Assistant and has working alongside Lisa since 2017. Lisa and Julie work together to provide freshly prepared healthy meals on a daily basis for our children. The kitchen has been award a 5 star rating from the last EHO inspection.
