Looking for childcare in Billingham? Kids 1st Wynyard might just be the perfect place for your child to thrive! Our purpose-built nursery is situated within the Wynyard Business Park, on the outskirts of Billingham, packed with all the excellent facilities needed to unlock your child's potential. 

We understand that every child is different and develops at their pace. That's why our nursery is split by age range, with separate rooms for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children. This approach allows the children to grow and develop their confidence alongside those at a similar stage in their journey. 

Our nursery rooms are light, airy, and finished with an inviting decor. They all feature lots of toys, games and activity areas designed to keep the kids fully engaged and learning while they're with us - from play kitchens to drawing tables. We look to set your child up with the best start in life, by following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, our team ensures all children are prepared for the next big milestone: full-time primary school education. 

Our Billingham nursery also offers outdoor space for children to explore. We encourage the children to enjoy the fresh air, be active and, most importantly, have lots of fun in the process. It's a space where they can also learn about taking safe risks under the supervision of our nursery staff.

Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

Food at Kids 1st - Wynyard

At Kids 1st Wynyard, we like to make sure your child continues to get all the nutrition they need when they're with us. They'll receive regular meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day, all included in the fees you pay - at no extra cost. 

Accredited by expert child nutritionists at NHS Startwell, these menus change seasonally, so there are always plenty of opportunities for the kids to try new delicious and healthy new foods. It's all freshly prepared, every day, by our on-site nursery chef.

Breakfast

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge. 

Morning Snack

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods. Served with a cup of milk or water. 

Lunch

Beef tagine or aubergine and red pepper tagine, with couscous. Fresh fruit platter for dessert. Served with a cup of water. 

Afternoon Snack

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks. Served with a cup of milk or water. 

Early Evening Snack

Ham and tomato gnocchi / vegetable gnocchi, or homemade spaghetti on toast. Mandarin and pears for dessert. Served with a cup of water.

Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Kids 1st Nursery in Billingham are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

Kids 1st Nursery Billingham Location

Where can you find our Billingham nursery? 

Well, we're located on Wynyard Business Park (just off the A689) - it's about a 10-minute drive away from Billingham town centre. 

When you arrive, you'll find plenty of on-site car parking in front of the nursery, and away from the main part of the business park. This means you don't have to worry about busy roads when dropping off or picking up your child. 

Our nursery on Wynyard Business Park also features a secure buggy store. So, if you want, you can always leave your buggy with us when you drop off your child and come back for it when you pick them up - safe and sound.
