Hello, I’m Megan, Centre Director at Kids 1st Wynyard.

I achieved my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education in June 2009 and joined Kids 1st Wynyard later that year as a Nursery Assistant. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to grow with the nursery, progressing through a variety of roles before becoming Centre Director. I’m incredibly proud of my journey and the amazing team I work alongside every day.

Working with children has always been my passion. I love being part of their early years, supporting them as they learn, grow and develop the confidence and skills they need for the future. Building strong relationships with families is equally important to me, and I believe working together gives every child the very best start in life. While it’s always emotional to see our children leave for school, it’s wonderful to know we’ve helped prepare them for their next adventure.

I’m also passionate about giving back to our local community. As Wynyard’s Charity Champion, I’ve helped organise a range of fundraising events over the years, and I’m incredibly proud that together we’ve raised tens of thousands of pounds for local causes. Seeing our families, children and team come together to make a difference is something I truly value.

Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors for long walks and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. These moments help me recharge and bring the same enthusiasm and positivity back to nursery each day.
