I am qualified to Level 6 having graduated from Northumbria University in Early Years Professional Studies. My academic studies have supported my personal interests in children's Learning and Development in Early Years, in particular language acquisition. My career in Early Years started out at a Park Ranger, delivering Educational packages to Primary School age and Secondary Schools in Liverpool relating to the Environment. I then took on a role as an English Teacher in Istanbul within a private Kindergarden. In 2007 I returned to the UK having worked overseas for 5 years and embarked on my career with Kids 1st. During my time with Kids 1st I have been promoted several times and worked across many of our Centres. I have a passion for Equality & Diversity and enjoy tailoring my centre to meet the needs of all of our children. I love the outdoors and can be found  camping most weekends in the Lakes, Borders and Swaledales with my rescue Collie, Barney. 

In 2022 I was voted Centre Director of the year for Kids 1st and Busy Bees out of a whopping 379 nurseries.  I was absolutely delighted to receive this award and it wouldn't have been possible without the support and hard work of my outstanding team.
