We are delighted to welcome Egg Day Nurseries to the Busy Bees family.

Egg Day Nurseries is a family-owned organisation that has successfully grown to three children’s nurseries over the last 12 years.

The nurseries, located in Andover and Winchester, care for children across all age groups; babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, offering a home-from-home environment. Egg Day Nurseries strive to help children become successful learners and confident individuals through learning opportunities provided in a safe, stimulating, and caring environment.

Sutton Scotney in Winchester is a beautiful converted Methodist church set over three floors. It can cater for 69 children from birth to five years. The nursery features four rooms for the children, a dedicated baby sleep room, a baby kitchen, and a laundry room. The older children have free flow access to the outside play area, with babies also having their own dedicated outdoor space to play.

The second nursery is Picket Twenty in Andover which caters for 72 children. The purpose-built single-storey building is located in the heart of a residential development, close to a supermarket and a primary school. It features a large outdoor area and four rooms designed to meet the needs of the children as they grow and develop.

In 2017, Egg Day Nurseries acquired Magic Tower Montessori Nursery School in Andover which caters for 40 children. The nursery features a tailored Forest School programme with daily afternoon sessions for the children and large spacious rooms. The nursery combines a Montessori pre-school education with early-learning activities such as singing, music and movement, and role play.

Cheryl Creaser, Europe CEO at Busy Bees, said: “We are delighted to welcome Egg Day Nurseries to our growing family. The owners have created three beautiful nurseries that offer wonderful learning environments for children, and we are committed to preserving their vision going forward. We’re looking forward to working with the team to ensure we can continue providing children with the best start in life.”

Anthony and Briony White, Owners of Egg Day Nurseries, added: “It has been an absolute pleasure to have provided childcare and early years education to all of our children and to have worked with countless dedicated, professional, and caring colleagues during the past 12 years from when Sutton Scotney was established. We are confident that our children and our staff team will be in excellent hands with Busy Bees and that the nurseries will go from strength to strength with the depth of expertise and experience they have.  We wish everyone all the very best for the future.”

Parents and staff across all three nurseries will, in time, have access to the Busy Bees’ Unleashing Potential (UP) learning and development tool. The specially designed app brings together activities, songs, games, and advice in one place for educators to use with children, inspiring a variety of enriching learning opportunities.
