Busy Bees Nursery at Haywards Heath have secured their third consecutive ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, after being praised for creating a nurturing nursery where children form ‘strong, positive relationships with each other and staff’.
Located on Southdowns Park, the nursery was recognised for ‘supporting children exceptionally well’ across all areas of development’ with staff placing children’s interests and needs at the heart of their learning and supporting children’s feelings with ‘warmth and encouragement’.
At the heart of the children’s development is its innovative Bee Curious curriculum designed to feed children’s natural curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning. Ofsted recognised the nursery for preparing an ‘ambitious’ and ‘exciting curriculum that has a clear purpose and progression to support and engage children at every stage’, supporting ‘children’s independence through all activities’.
The nursery is led by Centre Director Natalie whose Busy Bees journey began over 17 years ago as an apprentice. Alongside her long-serving team, they have over 60 years of combined early years experience. Natalie and her leadership team were described as a ‘significant strength’ and were commended for their passion and enthusiasm to giving ‘children the best start in life’.
Natalie Agnew, Centre Director at Busy Bees Haywards Heath, said: “Our team is deeply committed to creating supportive, nurturing environments where children are encouraged to grow in confidence and independence.
“This Ofsted result reflects our unwavering dedication to understanding each child’s individual needs and building meaningful relationships with our children and families. We’re excited to continue creating joyful enriching experiences that give every child in our care the best start in life.”
Parents who attend Busy Bees Haywards Heath spoke ‘glowingly’ about the nursery and supportive staff, stating that the nursery provides ‘regular ideas for children’s learning to try at home’ and that they feel ‘supported and informed about their child’s development and routines’.
The report further highlighted that there is ‘very good’ support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), with staff working closely with parents and other professionals to implement individualised strategies for children with SEND to thrive.
Busy Bees at Haywards Heath provides exceptional early years education for up to 75 children aged three months to five years. It also provides NHS-accredited menus, with nutritious meals freshly prepared every day on-site by the nursery’s chef.
