Busy Bees in Chatham provides OUTSTANDING childcare as reported by OFSTED in 2008, 2011 and out most recent one in April 2014.
We have successfully implemented many of the Busy Bees exclusive initiatives that are created by our Head office Childcare team. Each initiative has its own design to aid the children to succeed and enjoy many areas of learning and development. The initiatives include Busy Babies for our Sunflowers Room, Block Play for our Ladybirds Room, The Our Imagination Station for the Butterflies Room and Cooking with Me for the Dragonflies Room.
We also have additional initiatives shared by age groups these include Wake and Shake and very recently Emotional Transitions for the pre-school children!
We are very passionate at providing the best possible start for children and their families and involving the community.
Here at Chatham we have a beautiful purpose built nursery just outside of the historic Chatham docks consisting of large welcoming rooms for all ages and just recently we have had our large bathroom completely refurbed to suit the children’s needs.
At Chatham nursery we offer also offer Kickboxing from a trained instructor named Francis. This is aimed at children 3-5 years and teaches many physical skills as well as discipline.
We have a hairdresser named Tracy who attends the setting regularly for all age groups.
We hold events at weekends and during evenings.
Our Saturday Dad’s Group is very popular, set up in October 2011 we have consistently had a good turnout. Dads are able to attend the setting on a Saturday (once every other month) and engage with their children in planned activities sent out on an itinerary. Feedback from the Dads is very pleasing.
We have a large committee of parents who sit on our Parent Partnership Group, something all parents are free to join. We pride ourselves based on our fantastic relationships with parents and extended families.
We have a very dedicated and hard-working staff team which consists of experienced and highly skilled individuals who are either NVQ level 3 trained or working towards it.
In the Busy Bees Annual Awards last year our Manager Sarah Young (now on maternity leave) received the ‘Manager of the Year’ title for extreme dedication to Busy Bees and her nursery here at Chatham.
Three of the Senior Management team have an NVQ level 3 in Leadership and Management.
We take full advantage of the training courses provided through Busy Bees and access support provided through our individual teams at Head Office.
Our philosophy here at Chatham is to go above and beyond all expectations and to welcome new children and family members to our ‘Busy Bee Family’.
We're also pleased because she has learnt so much in terms of communication and good meal time habits
Our little girl enjoys her time at nursery and is keen to see her carers especially those she has built a special bond with.
We feel we can leave our daughter in excellent care and confident to go to work and not to worry about her. We love the baby diary updates on what she has been doing.
I know my children have always been well looked after and safe at the nursery. All the girls are so friendly and attentive that I couldn't ask for more than that. Well done on the OFSTED!
Superior facilities and staffing compared to any other nursery we have experienced - thank you - Mr Lawrence
