My daughter is always happy to go to nursery

My second time sending a child through Busy Bees Duffield. Child 1 was from 18 months and child 2 was from 9 months. Both times I have felt like my child was safe and supported - I couldn’t have asked for anything more from the team. The ladies have been brilliant from day one, supporting my request to stick to our routine, as well as my child’s needs at whatever stage they were at. As a slightly chaotic busy working mum, having my wishes heard and supported has enabled me to continue to work without worry, knowing my children were so well cared for and that it was ok if I forgot the nappies 3 days on the trot. My most recent experience has been with the under 2s room. It’s difficult to name any of them individually as they have all played a significant part in my child’s development and overall happiness at busy bees, but Sarah when my child was in the baby room and Rachel, Ellie & Colette when they moved up have gone above and beyond supporting my child. Collectively the trust in the ladies at busy bees and their attitude towards caring for the children made my return to work at 9 months PP stress free in comparison to my previous return to work experience at another nursery. I wouldn’t hesitate to send our next (and last 😅) child through busy bees duffield if we’re lucky enough to have another. They don’t just look after the children, they’ve definitely looked after me too.

My son has really come out of his shell since being with Busy Bees as they've helped get him ready for school. Having moved here just six months ago, the staff have been really welcoming, friendly and happy to chat with me about any concerns I've had relating to the transition. I could speak highly enough of them!

We couldn't be happier with the staff at Busy Bees Derby Duffield, they really feel like an extension of our family and our little boy has created some amazing bonds. He has developed well, enjoys the activities, food and is a happy little boy at nursery.

We have sent both our children to Busy Bees Derby Duffield and they have thrived there! Our daughter came on lots with her sounds and numbers (which, being a teacher, I was impressed with). She developed lovely social skills and made some lovely friends. Our son attended after lockdown and the staff there really helped him settle in after having attachment difficulties from being at home during Covid and not socialising as much. He also has allergies and we were so impressed and grateful at how well they accommodated these! The cook made sure he had the same meals as others, without egg or dairy (he had cheese wheels, pizza, etc. all catering for his allergies). We were so pleased by the range of foods he could have, whilst being safe. At Christmas, he also had dairy-free chocolate given to him. The setting is a home away from home, intimate feel. The outdoor space is lovely and children are regularly enjoying outdoor play. The manager is friendly and always happy to help. Recommend!

We attended a graduate ceremony for the 2024 leavers, my son being one of them. It was fantastic! The staff went above and beyond and even had songs the children sang along with. We will be sad to leave this nursery but will be returning with my younger son in a few months time!

My daughter has always loved the nursery staff and has made some real friends during her time at Busy Bees. I have also been very appreciative of all the assistance they have given me and time to talk about my daughter and how to help her progress. We will miss them very much. Only feedback which relates to the company not the staff itself, the playground could do with some modernisation. The gates are falling apart and have actually been turned over and used upside down rather than being replaced. The front door is not great, it catches so sometimes doesn't actually shut unless you pull it hard and on occasion, some parents have thought it has been shut and then it hasn't, again this is the company to fix and has no reflection on the staff. The food smells great when I walk past most mornings (probably better than I'm eating during the day!)

My son has been at Busy Bees for 3.5 years, and I have been pleased with his care throughout. The staff communicate activities done during the day and meals eaten. My son always comes home having had a great day. I would recommend this centre to friends - we will miss it being part of our son's week.
