Welcome to our nursery...
Castle View is a bright, spacious nursery, purpose built for 100 children. Castle View is situated in a lovely quiet location close to Pitreavie Castle and a short hop to the M90 motorway. The surrounding woodland provides a sanctuary for wildlife and an opportunity for learning. Our opening hours are from 7.15 am to 6.00 pm and we care for children from the age of six weeks until they go to school.
At Castle View Nursery we offer a safe, friendly atmosphere where children can experience a variety of stimulating and exciting activities to suit their individual needs. The building is bright and roomy and all facilities are accessible to the children. Outside there is a safe, enclosed garden which offers everyone the opportunity to gain access from all rooms in all weathers.
Castle View’s purpose built facilities are split into four separate age groups. Our Bombo room is a soft, snuggly room were we look after our youngest children from birth to around 18 months. Children in the Bombo room get a large number of sensory experiences, whilst exploring making new friends in our comfortable, relaxed environment.
Our Bombo 2 age group are aged between 15 months and 2 years. The Bombo 2 group spend much of their time exploring sensory activities with their friends and investigating a wide range of activities aimed at developing their exploration and curiosity of their surroundings. As with all our play rooms the Explorers have direct access to their garden.
Our Bumble group are aged between 2 to 3 years. Bumble is a busy room where the children can access a broad range of opportunities to develop their confidence, independence and friendships. As well as their outdoor space within the nursery grounds the Investigators also spend time in a wooded area close to the nursery building.
Our Buzz age group are 3 to 5 years who spend their day developing their confidence, self esteem and independence getting them ready to make the transition to school. Our programme of activities follows the Curriculum for Excellence where we focus on developing children’s skills in literacy and numeracy and their health and well being. The inventors have access to a variety of rooms and areas within the nursery as well as their spacious outdoor space.
We have a new fully enclosed Forest garden where our children can explore a natural woodland area which the children have named the secret garden were the children can explore and discover insects and different kinds of wild life whilst building dens, climbing trees and learning about their natural environment.
Our excellent staff team all hold relevant qualifications and have a breadth of different experience within childcare settings. As part of our balanced curriculum we enjoy weekly visits from a visiting teachers who include music and karate teacher. Castle View also boasts an active parent partnership group who help us to evaluate and improve your nursery

What our customers say…
we are very impressed with the Explorers room. Great range of toys being rotated to stimulate the children's interests. Malcolm loves coming to Explorers
In the time he has been coming to nursery albeit one day a week I have always found the staff to be most helpful and cheery and they certainly put my mind at ease when I leave my grandson
Being a first time mum, going back to work was a struggle knowing I wouldn't be with my daughter on those days. Finding the right childcare was very important to me
- Natalie Harrower
We always feel safe leaving Xander in your care and I think that's the biggest compliment. We never have to worry as we know that he's in great hands. He really enjoys his time with you

Because you keep Polly warm and safe and happy, feed her nice food, support her and guide her in the right direction. You help her learn and let her play…..we could go on
