At East Kilbride we believe in “Getting it Right For Every Child”.
Providing children with a safe and nurturing environment to help them achieve. This ethos is supported by our development of the local woods with the parents and community.
The children love playing and learning out doors and are developing responsible attitudes to the environment. The children celebrate their achievements and work as a group. Parents are often volunteers.
The outdoor learning ethos is supported also by our work towards our green flag for eco schools, where all children in the nursery, even our babies, are involved in recycling and planting and growing.
Our home grown produce supplemented our already fantastic menus for the children which are praised by the parents.
The home from home feel of the nursery is testament to the high calibre of staff, who are dedicated and committed to the service and who always go that extra mile.
We have established links with local church and community groups and enjoy regular visits from our community minister, East Kilbride Development Trust, Calderglen Park Rangers service and local school volunteers.

Hi my name is Isabel Dunn and I am delighted to be the manager at East Kilbride Busy Bees. I moved here from our Edinburgh Park nursery. Having been born and brought up in South Lanarkshire, I am delighted to be back to my roots.
I have worked in childcare for over 30 years and enjoy every minute of it. I have worked in a variety of settings, from small playgroups to large nurseries. I was very proud to graduate with my BA from Strathclyde University in 2012.
I am married to David, and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua and Samuel.
In my spare time I can be found reading my kindle or watching TV cookery shows, especially James Martin. I also love spending time with my grandchildren or having them for sleep overs.
