We know just how important it is for little ones to get the nutrition they need. That is why we provide delicious food and drink packed with goodness throughout your child's day with us. We have carefully created menus that put new twists on childhood favourites and encourage healthy eating.  

Accredited by NHS Startwell, our menus change seasonally, so there are plenty of opportunities to try something new.  

All meals, snacks and drinks are freshly prepared, on-site, each day, by our talented nursery chef. And want to know the very best bit? It is all included in your fees - so, there is no extra cost involved. Get a taster of what your child might enjoy on a typical day at our nursery in Belper.  

Breakfast  

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge. 

Morning Snack  

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods, served with a cup of milk or water. 

Lunch  

Chicken goujons (vegetarian option: vegetable croquettes) served with homemade baked beans, mixed potato wedges and a cup of water. Followed by pears for dessert. 

Afternoon Snack  

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks served with a cup of milk or water. 

Early Evening Snack 

Cheese twists to start, followed by spring vegetable soup served with a cup of water.

Did you know Busy Bees also offers government-funded childcare? If eligible, you could be entitled to up to 570 or 1140 hours of funded childcare, depending on your eligibility and your child's age, each year for your child. In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Belper are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

You will find our day nursery in Belper on Gibfield Lane just a 3-minute drive from the town centre and a 25-minute drive from Derby City Centre. 

For those arriving by car, we have a parking facility available onsite for safe and seamless drop-offs and collections.  

Rest assured, we have excellent public transportation links for those commuting, with just an 8-minute walk from Belper train station, and a short walk from the nearest bus stop at Herbert Strutt School serving routes 71 and 360. For alternative bus routes, Babington Hospital stop is just a 3-minute walk away.

I have seen the relationships they have with the children and you can really see they adore the children in their care.
