At Busy Bees at Midlothian Newbyres, we like to make sure your child continues to get all the nutrition they need when they're with us. They'll receive regular meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day, all included in the fees you pay - at no extra cost.  

Accredited by expert child nutritionists at NHS Startwell, these menus change seasonally, so there are always plenty of opportunities for the kids to try new delicious and healthy new foods. It's all freshly prepared, every day, by our on-site nursery chef.

What can your child expect to enjoy on a typical day at our Gorebridge day nursery? Just take a look below. 

Breakfast  

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge. 

Morning Snack  

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods, served with a cup of milk or water. 

Lunch  

Corn on the cob, followed by sausage/ vegetarian sausage in gravy with new potatoes and peas. Served with a cup of water. 

Afternoon Snack  

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks served with a cup of milk or water. 

Early Evening Snack  

Turkey or Hummus sandwiches served with mixed peppers and a cup of water. Followed by a fruit selection for dessert.

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Gorebridge are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.
